Little sculpting exercise from a sphere. Zbrush, about 2 hours.

Mainly done with primitive sculpted in ZBrush (sphere for the head, box for the cape, sphere for the hood, cilinders for legs/boots...). Rendered in Max with Mental Ray, Photoshop for post-process.

This is the great Talos, I made this image for the Ray Harryhausen contest in CGTalk. It was second run up for "most accurate creature" of the contest.

I've enjoyed doing this picture a lot, I think this portrait is a compilation of several faces that I've seen in the last few years. You can see this image in Exposé 5 (page 30) and D'Artiste Character Modelling 2 (page 66) .
